MMWEC Stony Brook Stacks

The Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Company is a non-profit, public energy corporation with twenty-one Massachusetts municipal utilities are Members.

The Stony Brook facility in Ludlow began operation in 1981. Since that time insulation settlements within the stacks and some poor applications, left the stacks with unsightly corrosion marks.

The John W. Egan Company was awarded the project and successfully prepared and recoated the 5 stacks with a high temperature coating.
