Hines Bridge

The Replacement of the 1st Lieutenant Derek S. Hines Memorial Bridge (Merrimack River Amesbury, MA) was a design build project where the components were coated (by others) at fabrication. Unfortunately the coating system could not handle the stresses created at, on site assembly. The John W. Egan Company was brought in with their team of certified NACE level 3 Coating inspectors to survey and evaluate the problem. The evaluation and recommendations resulted in the John W. Egan Company being retained to prepare recoat, document and complete the touchup of this bridge. The John W. Egan Company is SSPC QP1 and QP2 certified required to work on MassDOT projects.
